Early bird tickets for the second annual Guernsey Festival are on sale now until 31 January.

The major music and cultural event saw its debut last year under the name The Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts and was a huge success. With the likes of Ocean Colour Scene, Primal Scream and Example appearing, the festival was later shortlisted in the Best New Festival category of the UK Festival Awards.

The festival is situated on farmland known locally as ‘the Rabbit Warren’ in the parish of St Sampson on the Channel Island of Guernsey and will take place on 23 and 24 June. Fans eager to get involved are being rewarded for buying early with discounts.

The discounted children’s weekend tickets are priced at £20, juniors’ at £58 and adults’ at £75. There will also be a limited number of VIP tickets available at £165 for the weekend. Day tickets will be available after 31 January. Discounted camping passes for the weekend will be available for £20.

Festival organiser, Paul Stephen, hopes that people who enjoyed the festival this year have told all their friends and will consider taking up the discount by getting their tickets early.

“The festival was such a success this year we are confident that people will come and enjoy it again and bring more people to experience Guernsey’s largest festival.

“The tickets would make an excellent Christmas present.”

The line-up announcements will not begin until the New Year when the tickets will increase in price.

“After Primal Scream and Example last year we have set the bar really high and we’re going to have even more big name acts so it will be well worth getting tickets in advance,” he said.

Tickets are available to purchase from the festival’s new look website: www.guernseyfestival.gg.
