Andro is a lovely (and sometimes rather dashing) Irish man who plays great records. We knew this years ago when he was the guest at our infamous launch party. Resident at both the excellent Naïve Melody and mighty Warehouse Project, he also comprises fifty percent of Andro&Dimit (signed to Kung Fu Dub Recordings and Minimal & Melodies Music) who lay purely gorgeous chocolaty eggs of Easter house and techno all over the shop.
His night Naïve Melody is a party so cool its name has an extra dot in it. Camping out in a Chinese Karaoke bar, they book achingly hip and off-kilter artists, as well the odd global superstar, to their inimitable shindigs.
As if that wasn't enough he also happens to be a resident at The Warehouse Project. In case you have uploaded your brain to fuckwit.com, The Warehouse Project is one of the biggest and most important clubs in the world. With his production co-pilot Dimit, Andro is buffing up an album right now and in his 'spare' time he works at the legendary Eastern Bloc, one of the few shops in Manchester still keeping vinyl alive.
In other words he knows his onions.
Perhaps he never sleeps as he also boasts beekeeping, teaching backgammon and providing consultancy services (for the British Modern Sophisticate) among his many pastimes. What we do know is that Andro was with us at the party that kicked off three and a half years of Micron fun and it's bloody good to be having him back!
