This September sees inexhaustibly creative Italian producer Santos (aka Maskio) unleash his long player 'If You Have Meat You Want Fish'. Ahead of the album, his latest House handiwork, 'Zagros Fest' is released in August, alongside some juicy remixes by sonic mischief-makers, Nicole Moudaber, Riva Starr and Santé.
The man known in hushed circles as the 'producer's producer' delivers a unique nocturnal groove with 'Zagros Fest', peppered with energetic fills, a booming vox and layered drum patterns, on his Mutant Clan tag-team partner Timo Maas' feisty little record label, the fast-acclaimed Rockets & Ponies.
First up to remix is the flawless Nicole Moudaber (who's quickly picked up infamous fans in Carl Cox and Steve Lawler) followed by Mixmag's 2010 'Star of the Year' and iDJ's 'Player of the Year', Riva Starr and aptly finishes with Tiefschwarz's collaborator, Philipp Santé.
Together they offer a quirky quadruplet of complimentary but distinct remixes from the stripped back deepness of Nicole Moudaber's (already tipped by Loco Dice), to a healthy double dose from Riva Starr, to Santé's quirky workout.
