Technocolor, the fourth album of Masomenos, is more than a panoramic view of current electronic creation, it is a real journey across different sound landscapes: interior journey, meditative process inspired by the intimist atmosphere from the start. Intimist does not mean ethereal or stripped back but rather it is a work fundamentally based on feelings, aimed at and speaking to the soul of the listener.
Technocolor is an intimist techno album in this sense: the rhythms are marked and strong, the colours are changeable. The general tone still stays on the lighter side of dark, the light flowing out of the dark or mingling with it. The album is neither happy nor sad, it is both, it is what you make of it. There is form, of course: house in the widest sense, more or less physical, powerful or restrained.
The album starts out like a reggae or dubstep album, or even something else altogether.
It then evolves quite naturally, following a path that is in keeping with the core of the album, much like a dream can be made of up of scattered images with the same background. Each piece can be enjoyed independently of the rest, as their success as singles in the best clubs can prove.
This album has been made with the collaboration of Vadim Svoboda, Curro Savoy, Argenis Brito, Pier Bucci, DOP and Aquarius Heaven.

Masomenos: a woman and a man, or rather, a girl and a boy when they met in 2006 in Paris.
Five years on, their names appear on the bills of the biggest clubs and festivals across the world and their music can be heard on 30-odd maxi singles and four albums released under their own label WELCOME TO MASOMENOS (WTM).
Joan is a DJ and graphic designer. She illustrates the world of Masomenos, a fantastical universe of psychedelic landscapes, peopled with characters who are often funny, yet sometimes tender. The characters of Masomenos are an integral part of the duo's existence. They are found on their CD covers as well as their range of clothing and accessories, popular with children and adults alike. Joan is an outstanding DJ who started her record collection by being paid in vinyl during her time creating artwork for Parisian record shop, Bettino.
Adrien is Masomenos's producer, a tireless worker who never stops forming tunes in his head. This need to create never leaves him and, when he is not in his Paris studio, he can be found visiting the studios of his friends in Berlin. This unusual approach has led to some magical pieces and amazing partnerships. Amongst MASOMENOS's collaborators are artists such as JAY HAZE, TOBI NEUMANN, DOP, SEUIL, SIS and LEMOS, to cite but a few. Always going the extra mile when creating, his music has earned him huge success.
The reason is simple: they are independent and they do all their own creation.
This excess of energy combined with this fantastical universe that the couple created - rare in their milieu - inspired them to to create Masomenos Art an ever-growing collection of their objects.
