Hi-Tek Soul returns to Ministry of Sound on Saturday 27th March with Derrick May, Osunlade, Theo Parish & Alexander Robotnick.
Saturday 27th March sees another instalment from Hi-Tek Soul, as the residency returns for the first of this year’s dates. Celebrating 25 years of techno, Derrick May makes his 2010 debut alongside Osunlade, Theo Parish and Jim Masters.
After celebrating its 3rd birthday last year, Hi-Tek soul makes its first appearance of the year with the Detroit legend Derrick May playing a three hour set. Playing for the first time on the newly refurbished custom built Martin Audio sound system, Derrick brings ‘positive energy into the club’ as he plays at what he describes as his ‘favourite club in London.’ One of the most talked about artists, Osunlade graces the decks for this epic event. Recognised for his productions, the true innovator encapsulates the sound and style of the ideology behind Hi-Tek Soul. Theo Paris rounds off the Box, a pioneer in his own right for his success and contribution to electronic music, he steps up offering a deep set of techno’s finest.
To support such an amazing line up in the Box, 103 offers one of the strongest second room line-ups that Hi-Tek has ever seen. London based DJ, Jim Masters is joint by Italodisco hero Alexander Robotnick and Kirk de Giorgio, who has recorded for both Carl Craigs Planet e label and his own cult A.R.T.
Celebrating 25 years of techno, Hi-Tek pulls together three pioneers that are responsible for everything the genre stands for and more.
