The If Six Was Nine Project announced their UK tour dates in May ahead of the release of their first UK single and video. They will perform live at five venues across the capital from 10th May in addition to a month’s worth of dates across the UK.
The five-piece rock outfit are hotly tipped to become one of this year’s biggest acts having amassed a huge following on Facebook with over 75,000 fans as well as legions of devoted fans having signed up for their innovative web site, www.thatsmyband.com.
The band will go on to play Bristol, Reading, Cardiff and Bournemouth as part of the their debut UK tour – in addition to several exclusive, ‘impromptu’, gigs en route.
Manager Craig Ballantyne said the tour will coincide with the band’s debut single, Hippie Daze, which hits UK Radio stations in May.
The If 6 Was 9 Project has already seen international touring success with tours of India and Turkey last year. Most notably the group played a number of shows with legendary Indian rockers Parikrama. The group also recently shared the bill with UB40’s Ali Campbell in Turkey. In addition, a number of UK performances have seen some amazing once-off stints including a performance by drummer Lee with Sophie Ellis Bexter.
The If Six Was Nine Project was formed by drummer Lee and includes guitarist Darren, Shaun on vocals, Martin on bass and Trung on rhythm guitar. Their passionate and retro-infused sound makes for riveting live performances that have attracted rave reviews from critics and listeners alike during their recent tours of India and Turkey.
