Following on from the success of its sell-out, Secret Rave Garage party with Josh Wink in Leeds this May, the Dirty Disco is set to continue partying like only it knows how with its monthly party at Nylon in Sheffield, on Saturday 7th June.
The Dirty Disco resides at the stylish Nylon on the first Saturday of every month, but when Dirty Disco comes to town, it turns Nylon’s sophisticated setting into something much rawer with its hedonistic party crowd and line-up of underground techno jocks.
Heading up this event and giving the Funktion One sound system a run for its money is Nag Nag Nag founder and prime time resident, JoJo De Freq. Also known for her residency at London’s primo alternative techno club Bugged Out at The End, JoJo is as unique behind the decks as she is in the studio, and her set at Dirty Disco will be packed with acid-tinged sounds, fat beats, and buckets of style.
It can truly be said that the Dirty Disco has some of the best club residents around and Bobby O’Donnell is a perfect example. He’s got 10 years experience under his belt, has twice appeared on Rob Da Bank’s ‘Blue Room’ show on Radio1, graced the decks at one of London’s best nightclubs, Fabric, and played at the award winning ‘Bestival’ in the Isle Of Wight - a sure favourite of the Dirty Disco crowd!
Also guest at this top event is the incredibly talented, Annie Errez. She’s been snapped up by Sven Vath to play on his Cocoon World tour and her sets range from melodic right through to nose bleeding territory! Annie is serious hot property so it’s clear to see why Dirty Disco has got her on board.
The Dirty Disco - who’s just celebrated its third birthday - has become somewhat legendary in the north. lt can usually be found packing out the 1,800 capacity Victoria Woks Warehouse in Leeds where it showcases top name guests such as Serge Santiago, Robert Hood, and Hercules and Love Affair. This summer sees the Dirty Disco return to quite possibly the best electronic music festival this year – Gatecrasher’s Summer Sound System. On Saturday 24th May Dirty Disco will host its own stage with festival headlining acts Dave Clarke, Josh Wink, Luciano plus so much more.
