Fresh for 2007 is Thrill Me – a brand new concept night at Turnmills, kicking off over in EC1 on Saturday 20th January. Taken from the dancefloor anthem of the same name, Thrill Me is built around the talents of house music’s most prolific producers, with house music Mafioso Junior Jack and his partner Kid Crème taking centre stage.

Thrill Me is of course the title of one of JJ’s biggest tunes to date – taken from his acclaimed Defected album ‘Trust It’, which sold bucket loads all over the globe and helped establish him as the hottest new kid on the house block. The album also spawned the hit singles ‘Stupid Disco, Da Hype’ and ‘E Samba’ – the latter of course was the house anthem of 2003, with its feel good summer groove and pulsating bassline. But the story of Junior Jack really began a year earlier when ‘Thrill Me’ took the world by storm – creating in the process a unique sound that could clearly be defined as that of Junior Jack sound. Whilst this was all going on, his DJ partner in crime Kid Crème was also making waves of his own with a plethora of remixes and the release of his own classic cut – ‘Down and Under’ on Ink Records. But it’s together as a DJ duo that they’ve also created a niche sound, with their big room house beats road-blocking each and every club that’s stood in their way!! Despite a relatively quiet 2006 (JJ had struggled with illness throughout the year), Junior Jack & Kid Crème have the potential to join the big boy league that includes Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo and Bob Sinclar. And with JJ back to full health and with his long awaited follow-up album set to drop later on in the year, it looks like 2007 could very well that Junior Jack really hits the time.

Junior Jack & Kid Crème will be manning the main room decks for an extended set – much to the delight of the Turnmills faithful and the guys will be joined by a super strong support cast that features Steve Mac, Funk Agenda and the Promised Sound System. Steve Mac is of course the former Rhythm Masters dude (and professional party animal!) The man behind Variation Records is a big favourite at Turnmills with his ‘Mac-Attack’ sets and like all the other DJs playing before him on this huge night – he is also one of the UK’s most on-the-money producers. ‘That Big Track’ and ‘Lovin’ You More’ are two examples of his work, beautiful as they are big and bold and perfect to blow the roof of Turnmills good and proper. Funk Agenda will also be filling up the main room DJ box, whilst Promised celebrate their 2nd Birthday in T2 with a suitably phat line-up of regulars and special guests including main man Shuey Aurora, plus Seudo, Tom Huddart and the Love Story DJs. The honours of funking up T3 are left to those gorgeous folk at Heygorgeous.
