Continuing to attract the attention and collaboration of random people in high places*, rising DJ/producer extraordinaire and mash-up merchant Benji Boko now finds himself in the bizarre yet enviable position of releasing a track featuring Yoko Ono. (And I find myself faced with the all-too-irresistible headline ‘Boko meets Yoko’...sorry...)
Benji Boko’s One Day, One Sound, One Cloud project in conjunction with Soundcloud (first announced last month) is now ready for your ears, and the international cast of contributors who added their recorded sounds into the mix via the sharing platform include none other than Yoko Ono, who was so taken with the inclusivity and creativity of the project that she sent over a snippet of spoken word for the track.

Benji is now offering up the track on his own Soundcloud and inviting people to just enjoy it, or manipulate it further, provide vocals, etc, so it could mutate into something else entirely and we never know who else might get involved... watch this space, and in the meantime... please spread the word!
(*Other recent examples of this tendency include his newfound friendship with Anne Hathaway, born when he remixed her infamous rap, to her public seal of approval on Twitter; and of course having Maxi Jazz as a featured vocalist on his debut single, as well as collaborating with Roots Manuva before even signing a record deal...)
