No stranger to stamina, Danny Howells gets set to put us through our paces with another dominating return to the Box at Ministry of Sound for a Dig Deeper take-over on Saturday 6th June. Notorious for his stomping sets he will be serving up ‘predominantly house, tech-house, techno.’ As he prepares for a ruling reunion with London’s super club, Howells reflects on the soft spots that keep him bound to Ministry Of Sound, ‘the club’s awesome, from the minute you walk in it feels like you’re entering a special place. It's one of the few remaining clubs where vinyl and turntables are still treated with respect.’ No arguments there!
Dig Deeper has taken Ministry Of Sound by storm, putting a spin on the 2-hour set ethos. Focusing on clubber experience the night is ensured to be a full musical marathon, ‘It's me getting stuck into my record bag and CD wallet, utilizing the night from open to close and keeping the music shifting slowly and continuously throughout. It gives me the chance to really delve into the different styles of house that I love.’
Keeping up the standards for a night of extraordinary talent, Deetron follows suit making his Ministry Of Sound debut. Since first rocking the scene back in the 90’s, this techno crusader has remixed the likes of Joris Voorn and Funk d’void- to name but a few. With no end to his talent, in true Dig Deeper style Deetron breaks boundaries reigning his sets with an impressive 3 deck demeanour. It’s set to be ground-breaking, sweeping nothing but sweet treats under the decks. Presenting another Ministry Of Sound Debut, Johannes Heil, will be crossing the waters, mystifying us with his translucent sounds and soaring us into techno as we’ve never heard it. Having made his mark on the scene with his now, widely acclaimed classic ‘Paranoid Dancer’ the DJ/Producer makes a very welcoming first time appearance at London’s super club.
Tearing up the Bar with a whole host of adrenaline, DJ Mag will be hosting and rocking out some of the scenes most commendable names. With an array of awards behind him and a backlog of remixes (over 65 to be precise) Jimpster, will be changing the visage with his innovative, deeper spin on the electronic genre. Keeping up the pace, a name that boasts screaming success, conqueror of both the underground and commercial club circuit, James Prestley will be spanking the soundsytem.
Unearthing only the best – Dig Deeper provides us with all the credentials for a Saturday night takeover.
