To follow the massive success of Digital Hugzz in September, DH invites you for another round of Music, Mischief & Fun at Shoreditch favourite East Village (Upstairs) on Friday the 18th of November. For those of you who are as yet unfamiliar with what all the fuss is about, Digital Hugzzis a Free Party that brings people together through ‘Digital’ & Live Music, real time ‘Art’ (by way of DH’s own resident visual dilettante) and of course lots of genuine ‘Hugzz’!!!
Keeping it ‘home Grown’ for this event, DH has secured the talents of Ibiza legend and London alternative scene icon Rubber Ron. Ron's Dj’ing skills are admired Worldwide due to his ability to adapt his diverse and eclectic mix of music (from Disco, Funk, Jazz, & House) to translate the mood of the evening. Ron has Dj'd at the private parties of celebrities such as Prince, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Robbie Williams, P Diddy & Beyonce to name but a few, and along the way he has been the star Dj at all the most hedonistic fetish clubs including Skin Two, Der Putch and his own night Club Submission, fusing House attitude with fetish style. The success of Club Submission was beyond prediction & it was responsible for generating a new era in the Fashion & Music industries and bringing fetish into the mainstream, creating the famous 'clubbers into rubber' syndrome. Ron's musical talents, however, don't stop at Dj’ing! He has been a musician in various bands and was signed to Sony with his band ‘Kinky People’ and has worked with many musicians from Paul Weller to Bootsie Collins. And as if all this wasn’t enough, Ron also had a starring role in the cult movie ‘It’s all gone Pete Tong’: http://soundcloud.com/digital-hugzz/dj-rubber-ron-digital-hug
Digital Hugzz has also secured a fabulous supporting line-up for our way out & wonderful special guest. Once again (off that back of a killer set last time around!) we have the first Lady of London house and Push FM’s DJ Blush as well as the new and exciting duo Indigo Souls, formed by Patrick Bodhi and Frankie J. Dickens Also on the night are our resident Johnny Primed from Blacksoul Music & after his show stopping performance on Live Guitar at the last DH, we are proud to present the return of Nick van Gelder (VG Records, Akimbo, Jamiroquai). Last but not least, we also have the exceptional visuals of DH’s own VJ Woolf.
And if a spectacle of this magnitude wasn’t enough to make you cancel all other plans for the 18th and join us, from 5pm - 8pm East Village also provide a fantastic FREE food offering in the form of complimentary sharing platters, as well as a number of delicious discounted cocktails - for both the menus see: http://www.villain-london.com/fooddrink/
