Ben, at 30 years of age, has been DJing for more than 13 years. After winning the 3D World Bedroom Bangers competition in 1998, Ben went on to be voted No.1 in the country in Australias very first national DJ poll, the AUS DJ Top 20, co-ordinated by Inthemix. When Inthemix then started their Technics 50 the following year, Ben was voted No. 7 in the country. Currently Ben is based in Ibiza, Spain during the European Summer, playing We Love Space in Ibiza each Sunday. Production wise, he's worked with Inxec (Contexterrior) and Mike Monday (OM) with more in the not too distant pipeline.

Ben's Balance presents Electric_03 and Doll's House Mix albums have well received in all corners of the globe. He does occassional radio guest spots for John Digweed's Transitions, Triple J Mixup, Ibiza Voice Podcasts and the like. He's currently basing himself in Berlin for the Winter months with trips back to Australa.

Sounds Group (Events):
Ben Korbel is a co-founder and director of Sounds Group (along with Paddy Nash and Declan Lee), one of Sydneys best events promoters.

Sounds rose prominence through its promotion of Sounds On Sunday (2000-2005) but now focuses on one off major events including  Minimal Fuss and the annual festivals, We Love Sounds (30,000 attendance nationally) and involvement in Playground Weekender camping festival. Not to mention the annual We Love Sounds party at Space, Ibiza. Sounds have promoted concerts at the Enmore Theatre for Public Enemy through to just about every international DJ you can think of, including but not limited to Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish, Felix Da Housecat, Paul Van Dyk, Masters At Work, Jacques Lu Cont, James Zabiela, Danny Howells, Ewan Pearson, Tiefschwarz, Crazy Penis, Kaskade, Dimitri From Paris, Armin Van Buuren, Norman Jay, Nick Warren, Adam Freeland, Damian Lazarus and many, many more.
