Hervé is a man of many names. You may know him as one half of The Count and Sinden, who have just released their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Mega Mega Mega’.
Or perhaps you know him from one of his many aliases, like Action Man, Young Lovers, Dead Soul Brothers and Voodoo Chilli or his supergroup Machines Don’t Care. You may also know him as a remixer nonpareil, rejigging everyone from Bloc Party and The Chemical Brothers through to Mark Ronson, Roisin Murphy and New Young Pony Club. We however, know him as one of the most exiting and explosive DJ’s of his generation – fact.
In addition there is live support from London buzz band East Strike West who make a welcome return to the smoke after a relentless touring schedule around their recently released debut album Wolvves., a healthy dose of Americana from The Border Surrender as well as uplifting indie-pop from new guns The Hopeless Sons.
Club Remix is the most recent incarnation of Eddy Temple Morris’s universally recognized brand, The Remix. Marking the 10th anniversary as XFM’s flagship specialist music show and hugely successful superclub-night, Eddy decided to stage a weekly version at Camden’s Proud Gallery to celebrate what has become one of the UK’s most influential new music institutions. To this end Club Remix each week will feature the future of Indie and Electronica with three live acts performing before 11pm, whereupon Eddy and guests, comprising of some of hottest Dance DJs and producers around, will be doing their utmost to subvert ‘the home of indie’ with a hatful of leftfield beats and warehouse bangers until 2am.
Since launching The Remix, Xfm’s leading specialist radio show and club night ten years ago, Eddy Temple-Morris has become the undisputed champion not just of genre-hopping but of genre-breeding, slipping enough pills into dance music’s pint until it finds itself curled up in the corner of the room with rock’s dangly bits in its mouth. It was the first in the world to debut the work of acts such as Pendulum, Kasabian, Mylo, Paul Epworth, The Freelance Hellraiser and Jacknife Lee to name a few. His DJ skills are legendary as are his admirers: “The first DJ in our history to get the crowd jumping and singing along BEFORE we get onstage…and he wears a good hat” - Liam Howlett, The Prodigy “Legend.” - Tom Meighan, Kasabian “The reason I'm in work here.” - Zane Lowe, MTV “The best f**king DJ in London.” - Javier E, Razzmatazz Super-Club, Barcelona. Nuff said!
