Reclaim the Dancefloor, in celebrating its 2nd year, raises the bar and the roof once more with an even stronger, more diverse line-up than San Antonio has ever witnessed. Major Lazer, Annie Mac, Tiga, Chase & Status, Pendulum, Zane Lowe, and Benga are just a handful of the acts that will once again be setting the standard for a sensational summer.
After the over-whelming success of its first year, Reclaim the Dancefloor is proud to break away from Tuesday’s post-Ibiza Rocks slot. Now every Wednesday at Eden Nightclub from 16th June to 15th September, Reclaim the Dancefloor 2010 will see the World’s biggest and best breakthrough artists put on a show like no other, with it’s strength in uncompromised quality, versatility and affordability.
Continuing to embrace the sound of a fresh faced, youth focused scene, Reclaim the Dancefloor is once again working with UK promoters Metropolis and Wax:On in a mission set to inspire Ibiza. This year Reclaim will be the only place on the Island to bare witness to the unstoppable force of Diplo / Switch alter ego, Major Lazer. What’s more, in a crucial move that further cements Reclaim as the premiere spot for new, electronic music, Annie Mac has confirmed no less than three appearances.
Reclaim The Dancefloor kicks off on June 16th with a DJ set from leaders of the drum & bass nu-skool, Pendulum. Radio One’s Zane Lowe will also be joined by legendary dubstep innovator, Benga, and 2009 resident, Doorly returns as one of the UK’s fastest rising breakthrough acts.
Ibiza will just keep getting hotter in the weeks that follow with return appearances from Kissy Sellout, Chase & Status, Toddla T, Rusko, Skream and Fake Blood – all back by popular demand and part of the Reclaim mission once again to be the epicentre of the action in the newly rejuvenated San Antonio. On the 7th July and 25th August, the revered Turbo boss, Tiga, will also be hitting Eden with two exclusive Turbo parties, supplying his own brand of electro and funk fuelled techno.
Reclaim the Dancefloor 2010 also welcomes the likes of drum & bass stalwart Sub Focus, the a-grade dirty bass of Drop the Lime, and continues to serve the growing passion for dubstep with an island debut for Joker. .
Appearing once a month, Jack Beats and Nero will join weekly resident, Doorly. Additional residency spots will be filled by one of the UK’s finest rising stars, Eskimo Twins.
Brand new for 2010, Ibiza Rocks presents Reclaim the Dancefloor CD mixed by Doorly and out on June 28th on Ministry of Sound. CD1 will be an upfront 2010 mix from Doorly that reflects the sound of Reclaim 2010, plus a bonus CD celebrating 5 years of Ibiza Rocks classics, remixes and mash ups!
