Above & Beyond, the UK’s most popular electronic music act, is teaming up with premium external storage solution provider G-Technology by Hitachi to launch its groundbreaking series “Tight Space” with European live performances and interviews.
The web streaming event will showcase Above & Beyond’s DJ set broadcast live across the globe from an exclusive party at a secret London location on Tuesday, 15 November at 9pm GMT / 10pm CET. This exclusive content is only available to fans who ‘Like’ the G-Technology Europe page on Facebook® where they’ll gain access to the live performances.
Fans who want to attend the limited capacity gig can apply for free tickets on Above & Beyond's Facebook page. This will be the last chance for fans to see the trio in the UK this year. The event is also the launch pad for the band's London 2012 live plans, details of which will be revealed on the night. A video clip has been produced to promote the event and can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XIC3v5YR7s.
The Tight Space series is designed to celebrate creativity and to promote G-Technology by Hitachi, a brand dedicated to delivering premium external storage solutions for Apple® Mac® users, HD video editing and professional content creation, to a brand new audience of influential and creative individuals, including musicians, artists, DJs and other creative pros. The series debuted in the United States in the summer of 2011 in a partnership with Fool’s Gold Records featuring DJ sets by A-Trak, Chromeo and Treasure Fingers. More than 30,000 people tuned in to watch those performances and to ask their favourite DJs questions live through Facebook.
Engineered exclusively for those looking to push their creativity beyond the limits, G-Technology provides creative professionals with a premium experience when using G-Technology’s high-quality products. G-Technology external drives are the go-to tool for storage, editing and data protection when quality, reliability and performance are not optional.
Just like its American counterpart, “Tight Space” in the UK will take place at a small and intimate venue that fans wouldn’t normally see Above & Beyond performing in. However, G-Technology wanted to offer everyone with Facebook access the chance to experience the show as if they were there from the comfort of their own computer. “Tight Space” will capture the music and party aesthetic live.
Above & Beyond is Britain’s most popular electronic music outfit. The trio of Tony, Jono and Paavo have sold out concert halls on both sides of the Atlantic, including shows at L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium and Brixton Academy. They’ve previously played to 1 million people on Barra Beach in Rio and soundtracked the launch of Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic SpaceshipTwo, while the 350th episode of their TATW radio show became the world’s top trending topic on Twitter. Above & Beyond’s second artist album ‘Group Therapy’ was released this summer.
“This is an exciting opportunity for G-Technology,” said Caroline Sumners, Marketing and PR manager for EMEA. “Not only because we will be providing a very special platform for fans to interact and see free exclusive live content from a leading electronic music act, but because Above & Beyond can help our brand reach and connect to a loyal following of creative influencers in a very credible and fun way.”
