December 8th marks the release of the single ‘Everything Is Alright’ by Swedish producer, musician and DJ Rasmus Faber. An ambitious, masterful blend of deep, musical house with a heart of pop, ‘Everything Is Alright’ will put Rasmus on the map as a crossover act on a par with the likes of Roisin Murphy and Basement Jaxx.
Take the colours of Robyn, 4 Hero and Nu Yorican Soul, mix them up and you get a picture of ‘Everything Is Alright’. An uplifting, cinematic dawn of pianos and strings gives way to the sugary, innocent vocals of Linda Sundblad, which roll out to the end - half a song structure, half a house 12”.
In the ambient tradition of ‘Smokebelch 2’ and ‘Offshore’ remixes, Rasmus provides the ‘Chillax mix’, taking the track to new heights of airy brightness. Lovebirds, (who already have fans in Prins Thomas, Ashley Beedle, Tom Middleton and Bill Brewster) deliver vocal and instrumental remixes, perfectly pitched between cosmic disco and shiny new house. Up and coming talent and Soulfuric signee Richard Earnshaw provides more house flavours whilst Rasmus also provides a clean, infectious and building ‘Instrumental Remix’ and the big room- style, energy packed ‘Rasmus Faber Remix.’
