We are just days away from the biggest thing to hit a mountain since the first volcano erupted, and Volvo Snowbombing has just raised the bar even higher by announcing an exclusive set from Mark Ronson at the Volvo Ice Camp.
Mark Ronson says of playing; " I’m really looking forward to playing the Volvo Ice Camp – It’s always cool to play unusual venues and its the first time i’ve played a set in an Igloo!"
Returning bigger and better than ever, The Volvo Ice Camp gives the opportunity for just 350 lucky competition winners to escape the main resort hub of Mayrhofen on a magical mini trip to the Volvo Ice Camp at Kitzsteinhorn Glacier in Kaprun, where breathtaking views meet stunning design in this highly original car showroom come party venue.
Volvo guests will experience four huge igloos, including a showroom space showcasing the latest stunning designs and innovative technology from Volvo, including the heart-stirring all-new Volvo S60, designed with a true sports car feel that will undoubtedly appeal to all and what could be the most dynamic Volvo’s model ever, the Volvo V60.
There is also seven separate sleeping igloos, barrel sauna, heated jacuzzi, ice climbing tower and an avalanche safety training area and an ice bar - let's put it another way, a sub-zero soft play area for big kids!!
And to provide the soundtrack to this spectacular landscape will be the multi-award winning, multi-talented, man of transatlantic appeal, Mark Ronson, who will delve into the record bag, which helped establish him as a name long before his long list of collaborations.
After collecting a hatful of Grammys and working with some of the biggest artists in the world from Adele to Christina Aguilera, he continues to wow audiences the world over on the back of his third smash album, Record Collection, alongside The Business International.
And joining him on the one’s and two’s will be Disco Queen Sophie Lloyd. Having played at some of the biggest clubs in the UK and Ibiza, Sophie has even won praise from illustrious quarters, notably Ed Chemical Brother - and who are we to argue with him!
