Shifted House Records is a brand new digital label, set up by Jan van Damm, who presents their first release ‘Everyday Feeling EP’.
Jan van Damm is a Tech‐House producer and DJ from Munich, Germany. He originally started as a Hip Hop and Funk DJ, some twelve years ago, but always had a lid on electronic music. In 2006 he took his first steps into producing his own work and after two years of exposure to different electronic genres, he found his focus in Tech-House, and like many others who have switched from Hip Hop to House, JvD has his own unique approach to creating electronic music.
The ‘Everyday Feeling EP’ is a colourful three tracker showing the versatile possibilities of Tech House from the minimalistic but also powerful, ‘In Control’ where stomping beats accompany a funky organ stab to keep the party moving. To ‘Spooky’, noticeable through a pumping deep stab arrangement and pumping house beats. To finally, ‘Everyday Feeling’ that provides a different approach to the Tech House sound with a deep melodic pad and short vocal, over a funkin' beat.
Each track is a dance floor weapon in full effect.
