‘Dusk Till Dawn’ is the first in a groundbreaking new compilation series from leading house imprint MN2S. Mixed by Danism – one part acclaimed drum & bass producer Dan Nu:Tone, one part Dan Liquid of Liquid People Fame – the Digi Comp collection looks to support the recent trend in how DJ’s source their music through online facilities, at the same time giving them the ultimate aural treat!
A sublime collection of the latest house tunes, many of which border on the more minimal aspect, ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ sees MN2S’s house sound drawing on all different influences, which fits perfectly with the changing times in global dance music.
Starting off light-hearted and dreamy with the vocals of Jaidene Veda’s “Sunday”, the mix flows through into the beginning of a prominent tribal theme that runs for the most part of the compilation. Notable highlights include the return of Bodyrox’s Nick Bridges and new rising stars Hauswerks who are also about to release their EP on 1trax.
‘Dusk Till Dawn’ is released on digital format only. The album and its successors will be available as separate tracks or as a ‘bundle’ – which also includes the full DJ mix – keeping MN2S firmly at the fore of the growing trend for online music; and at the same time staying ahead of the game in terms of the current sound of house music. But while the accessibility of the Digi Comp format is certainly newsworthy, let’s remind ourselves that with MN2S it’s the music and the mix itself that will have listeners reaching for the ‘buy now’ button.
