CREAMFIELDS ANNOUNCES INCREASED CAPACITY FOLLOWING LAST YEAR’S SUCCESS

Demand from Creamfields fans for tickets to the 2007 event has lead to an increase in capacity by 10 per cent.

Following on from last year’s success, and with this year’s stellar line-up featuring the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Kelis and Mark Ronson, the Cheshire-based dance festival has been granted a licence for this year that will accommodate 49,999 people, compared to last year’s 44,999.

Creamfields 2007 also sees the first appearance of the MySpace Summer Daze Bus at the site. Making its debut on the festival circuit, the Routemaster will host surprise performances from top-name acts as it calls in at this years top festivals, and its progress can be tracked online at www.myspace.com/liveintheuk.

The bus will provide welcome respite for drained dancers with its sofa and giant double bed, meanwhile those with a more creative streak will be able to graffiti it.

James Barton, CEO, Creamfields, said: "The move to increase the capacity was necessary after a fantastic last few years for the event – this just goes to show that Creamfields has cemented its position at the centre of the UK’s burgeoning festival scene".
