After touring extensively in the early 90’s, Hex Hector spent nearly a decade in the studio pumping out hit remixes for some of the biggest names in the music industry. While he never fully put DJing to the side, Hex Hector is back and refocused on bringing his music to the club masses. Allura is a current reflection of Hex Hector’s journey through smooth and soulful house music and features tracks from Dennis Ferrer, Elements Of Life, Funkagenda & Paul Thomas pres PTFA, Todd Terry and more.
At the height of his touring days, Hex held residencies at legendary New York hot spots like the Tunnel, Limelight, Palladium, Sound Factory Bar, Nell’s, Club USA and Danceteria. Today, Hex is a favorite at the world-renowned club Stereo in Montreal and is a regular at NYC’s Splash, Cielo and Santos Party House. Along the way he met and became friends with Jennifer Lopez, who was later the catalyst for his blockbuster remix “Waiting for Tonight”, winning him a Grammy for Remixer of the Year in 2001. By that time, Hex was one of the industry’s most in-demand remixers.
Hex’s remix credits are staggering, having worked with the likes of: Madonna, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Donna Summer, Mary J Blige, Sting, Anastacia, Enrique Iglesias and Aretha Franklin…to name a few. Legions in the music industry, club enthusiasts and radio supporters can attest that nobody is better at making remix hits on the dance floor or catapulting divas to the top of the charts.
