On bank holiday Sunday 4th of April 'You Are We' celebrates its 1st birthday at Corbets Place. It seems every party nowadays features an artist from Berlin or from a globally renowned label but we wanted to dig deep and present an act that’s truly setting trends & shaping the musical landscape of tomorrow. With this in mind we are extremely proud to announce that good friends and hugely talented producers SESSION VICTIM will be joining us from Germany for their UK DEBUT to mark this very special event.
Splitting their studio time between Berlin & Hamburg, production duo Session Victim have released some of the finest underground music in the last couple of years on labels such as Real Soon, Hairy Claw and their own Retreat imprint which they run with Quarion. Their production style showcases house music in all its shades with distinct influences ranging from disco to Detroit, and afro-beat to techno.
Their label RETREAT is a Vinyl only imprint, a factor that adds extra appeal and real character to all their sets. It's distinct sound carries a "modern House aesthetic and a vision that embodies the concept of Techno as a forward-thinking music genre”, a factor that shines through in all their work both in the studio and behind the decks.
