Joey Negro One Night Special

This Saturday 27th February, Joey Negro, legendary DJ, Music Producer, Re-mixer and expert in all things funk, soul and disco, is doing a one-night special at Jazz FM's popular jazz funk night Funky Sensation, upstairs at Ronnie's Bar. Joey Negro, AKA Dave Lee, is the UK's most successful and longstanding soulful house DJs. A founding father of the UK house scene Dave was one of the first artists to incorporate disco samples in house music when he began his career back in 1991. Today little has changed and Dave is widely regarded as one of the most commercially successful and in-demand artists on the global music scene one of his recent albums, Many Faces of Joey Negro Vol.2, was released to critical acclaim in October last year.

This Joey Negro one-off special will be supported by Jazz FM's Mike Vitti and 'The Jazz House' presenter, Paul Ruiz, who makes his debut appearance and whose Friday night (Midnight-3am) show continues to grow covering modern Soulful House through to classic Jazz, Disco, House, Hip Hop, Chillout, Broken Beat & Soul.

Jazz FM's Funky Sensation residency upstairs at Ronnie's was launched in September 2009 by DJ Mike Vitti and soul guru Peter Young, two of the station's most prolific presenters.
