The Model's first release on Underl_ne came in 2006 with his 'Prelude to Foundation' EP (UND011) - the title and indeed the music inspired by Isaac Asimov's 1950's Science-Fiction book series 'Foundation' - thought by some as the most mind-expanding Sci-Fi work of all time.. The Model, inspired by 'Foundation' since childhood, now delivers his second Sci-Fi instalment to Underl_ne with his five-track 'Foundation' EP.
This new chapter musically describes the dramatic chain of events in the first two centuries of Asimov's 'Foundation'. Deep space sounds and hypnotic grooves create the atmosphere as The Model envisaged it. Five cuts that redefine concepts; heralding the upcoming debut album by The Model on Underl_ne: 'Foundation and Empire' (forthcoming 2008)..
Romanian born The Model, released his first EP IN 2005 on Hell's Deejay Gigolo imprint, he followed with a release on Traum Schallplatten and in 2006 hooked up with Underl_ne.. If you've ever witnessed The Model in action (with regular slots at the now infamous Krystal club in Bucharest and throughout Europe), it's not something you're likely to forget. Commanding the decks with poker-faced single-mindedness - accompanied by a now-famous glass of milk in hand - he'll take you through a myriad of styles and states of mind. Underl_ne began in 2004 - with Louderbach's (Troy Pierce's alter-ego) 'To Begin' EP.. Since, the label has released tracks from Matt John, Magda, Jay Haze, Terrence Dixon and more.. In 2006, Underl_ne released its first album from Louderbach - 'Enemy Love' - the album received great world-wide support and the label followed-up with an exclusive album remix package from Ellen Alien, Magda, Ryan Crosson and more. Forthcoming album projects on the label include from The Model and Confetti Bomb.
