It’s time to go deep and get yourself twisted…
A new website is born, one that aims to bring together a whole host of like-minded people in the electronic music world: www.deepandtwisted.co.uk
The main aim of Deep and Twisted is to create a community for DJs, producers, music lovers and agents who have a love for electronic music. There will be many features that allow users to listen to music, network with other members and share music or mixes and much more.
The structure of the site means that every user has their own profile which they update with information about themselves. This is also where they can manage their music with a personal mp3 player.
At present the site it limited to 7mb per upload but work is underway to increase this, which will mean that everyone will be able to upload DJ mixes. Along with this there will be additional options such as being able to make music downloadable for everyone to enjoy.
The site also allows everyone to gather friends and contacts which will prove to be a useful tool for networking with people of similar interests.
In conjunction with Plug, Sheffield, the site will also become a hub for exclusive DJ mixes from the club’s residents. Launched on May 4th the ‘Grounded’ mix series kicked off with ‘001’ a tech house mix from long time Plug resident Geoff Ticehurst. The series will continue in June with CDs being given away at Grounded events at the club before the mix becomes available to Deep & Twisted members for exclusive download.
