Evolutionary artist collective Blasted Mechanism mark their highly anticipated UK arrival with the release of their opulent debut UK single Start To Move - OUT NOW! Released through Revolver Records the single will precede their first ever UK performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on Sunday June 27th 2010!
Founded / invented in the Summer of 1995 the Portuguese composite combine revolutionary technology with ancestral soundscapes of fanatical stature, to conjure melodies and beats of exquisite proportion. Their pioneering approach to structure and harmony allows this enigmatic collective of thinkers to blend qualities of electro, reggae and dub to create something truly magnificent.
Blasted Mechanism celebrate their arrival in the UK with the release of their debut UK single Start To Move. Pungent progressions of tribal beats, futuristic sounds and an outrageously evocative structure all marry, resulting in five minutes of pure, utopian ecstasy. Glastonbury 2010 marks Blasted Mechanism’s first EVER UK performance. On Sunday June 27th the collective will manifest themselves on the West Dance Stage, and lay out a spectacle that promises to be out of this world. Dressed extravagantly in alien-like, tribal attire, the collective prove both visually outstanding and melodically sumptuous. Having already been nominated for an MTV Award three times and having supported the likes of The Chemical Brothers and Rage Against The Machine, this inaugural performance is certainly one not to be missed.
Blasted Mechanism pride themselves on a sustainable communitarian based living. They are driven by earth care, energy production and share an intense love for music. This June they arrive in the UK.
