The second weekend of the month sees Plug welcoming an old friend back over to party for some house focused Shuffle goodness. One of the legends of the Northern House music scene with a history steeped across the region, it’s the return of Krysko to the Shuffle Decks.
Growing up and partying in and around Leeds, Krysko’s first forages into the serious world of club DJing came via a residency at Back II Basics’ pre-party alongside the then residents Paul Woolford and Tristan da Cunha. Further gigs in around the city, not to mention a residency at Stoke-on-Trent’s Madcow that saw appearances alongside Yousef and Steve Lawler, he finally got his big break when the call came for a guest slot at Sankeys. Immediately impressing the owners, he was soon offered a residency at the Saturday house institution Redlight, but would all too frequently finding himself roughing it up on the Friday at Tribal Sessions as well.
After his time at Sankeys ended he became embroiled in the new leading club in the city, and lauded by DJ Mag as the finest in the land, the stunning Warehouse Project. With regular appearances at this and its sister enterprise Paradise, Krykso has consolidated his place at the forefront of avant-garde house music in the UK.
