The Zoo Project at The Old Abandoned Zoo, Ibiza
Saturday 27th June
With Nima Gorji, Saytek Live, The Rejekts and special performances from The Minx FX

It’s week three under the Ibizan sun for The Zoo Project. All is set for another 2500 clubbers to convene amongst the hills, seal pits, trees and cages of the old abandoned Zoo in the Benimussa Hills. With the standards set high as the temperature this season, the acts on the line-up for Saturday 27th June are the perfect choice to push things on…

Nima Gorji’s productions on labels like ‘Love Letters From Oslo’ and ‘Murmur’ get spun by big-guns Raresh and Luciano; his gig schedule takes in most of Europe, and in 2007 he was nominated as ‘Best Ibiza DJ’ by the annual awards committee. Why? The Iranian has an inimitable knack for creating magical, hypnotic loops which sink to the depths of the sonic spectrum taking listeners all the way with him. Saytek will tear it up in a special live set! His improvised live hardware shows have gotten props from Garnier, Cox and Digweed, and it’s no wonder… Every sound he plays is edited, twisted, layered, filtered and effected into a razor edged and almost breathing sonic tapestry.

The Rejekts are techno boys from the North of England. Their sounds are so original Claude von Stroke’s ears were pricked from San Fran at the Dirtybird HQ – so much so he’s released their music. They’ve rocked Kaluki Manchester, Ibiza Underground and We Love... Space, too, their skills are that assured. A host of other residents including Defex, Jean Cedric and Clint Lee, also add fuel to the house and techno fire tonight, as does the much loved PA act, The Minx FX.

It’s not only the sound of the underground that draws in the herds to this party - it’s much more about the spiritual vibe and underground movement that The Zoo Project represents. Through costume the crowds unite in a world where nothing matters, creed nor colour. One can only experience a vibe this positive at the Zoo Project.
