On Thursday April 20th you too can be part of the live final! Watch the freshest DJing talent take to the decks to battle it out to win the title of babycream resident as well as a guest set at Cream!
Of course it would only be right to have a panel of top industry professionals judging the final, and what a panel we have…
The founder and director of superclub Cream and international festival Creamfields, James Barton has set this date aside in his hectic schedule promoting the worldwide brand that is Cream so that he can cast his eye over the hopefuls. Not only does he know the business side to the industry but he’s a dab hand on the decks too as a regular DJ in the early days at Cream, and to this day playing Cream Classics @ babycream and Cream @ Nation.
Joining him are two highly accomplished DJs, Graeme Park and Gareth Wyn. Graeme Park was at the fore front of it all when the house music scene took off, and went on to play all of the major clubs from The Hacienda to Cream, not to mention numerous gigs worldwide. He’s got a record collection to die for and knows just about every trick in the DJing book!
Gareth Wyn is a real life example of the success that competitions such as these bring. His DJing career started when he entered Muzik Magazine’s search for a new Cream resident in 2002. Gareth was awarded 2nd place and soon built his relationship with Cream, leading him to play Cream gigs around the world as well as landing the role of Cream Ibiza resident in 2005!
To top it all off we’ve got the man who knows all the inside information about what’s hot and what’s not when it comes to clubbing and going out in Leeds. Theo Cooper gives the lowdown on all things clubbing in and around the Leeds area on a fortnightly basis for The Leeds Guide. He’s sure to know which DJ is likely to please the Leeds crowd in the role of babycream weekly resident.

Things kick off at 7pm and to help get the party started we’re giving away a free cocktail to the first 50 people through the doors.
