ECLIER (Siberia) proudly represents the new cold wave from the east: electro break, robotic vocals and spacey pop synths: all together this siberian chemistry is a hot hymn to the dancefloor.
After the release in July of « The Hole » EP (ref. MAKO004), supported by Mr Oizo, Das Glow, Mixhell, Zombie Nation, aUtOdiDakT, etc., ECLIER is coming back in october for his new « The Future Is Now » EP. With new bombs for the dancefloor, on the productive label Boxon Records.
If ECLIER’s first album took you on an amazing trip, this new project with more rhythm will take you directly to exploding parties. Girls, the word is dancing. After a few remixes for some artists of the label Boxon Records and an EP on Proxy’s label, we were right to expect a true hurricane. No options left, it’s gonna come.
With intros very much turned to an atmosphere close to B.O. S.F. and a new wave touch, NIKITA, who comes from the great Siberian cold, adds an electro touch to choruses that just make the ice melt. A perfect example to be found on « ROCKFALL », heritage of Digitalism.
The saturated melodies are bloody efficient and the beats powerful. Away from a lament or a lullaby, ECLIER earned his stripes, and took vitamins. We definitely find this craving energy on « SPIDER » that ends this three-track record.
ECLIER has everything of big man now: Tom Deluxx’s enthusiasm and the combined new wave touch of the Cut Copy. He gets closer to Proxy’s ingenuousness. « THE FUTURE IS NOW ».
