Over a year in the making… the wait is finally over! 44th & Filth Music (44th & Filth) launched on Monday, October 19, 2009 with their much anticipated debut single “Take You Away”.
Established in 2009, 44th & Filth was formed by brilliant veteran producer YUG and media luminary/DJ Andy Reid. Drawn together by their love of melodic house, spirited vocals, and passion for music; their unique blend of knowledge and experience in the industry was a perfect match.
44th & Filth delivers vocally charged, upfront house music ranging in a variety of styles from deep to electro, soulful to techy. The common ingredient is a focus on strong melodies, infectious hooks, and great vocals. With a diverse group of artists, producers and remixers (both new and established), 44th & Filth is the new home for the discerning DJ looking for future anthems and dancefloor destroyers.
The debut release “Take You Away” was produced by label directors YUG and Andy Reid, and features the divine vocals of Toronto newcomer Cristal Noir.
“Take You Away” drops epic piano chords, fused with brilliant strings, rich percussion, and soulful vocals to create a big room anthem. Taking a cue from the memorable "Strings of Life", "Take You Away" is primed for Ibiza and beyond as its infectious melody and big bassline is perfect either poolside, on the terrace, or in the main room.
