First off, we are incredibly proud to announce that Forgotten Valley is Skins’ first ever UK festival experience! This is very much hot off the press with very special guests being announced soon, along with what to expect from the Skins crew, fresh from the second series success currently running in Channel 4.

Live wise, Forgotten Valley is shaping up quite marvellously with some of the most exciting and freshest performers around, from recent NME Awards victors through to some old hands who still rock along with a selection of scene setters playing over the entire weekend. Performing live are The Happy Mondays, Reverend and the Makers, The Enemy, The Wombats, New Young Pony Club, Pendulum, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, The Teenagers, Crystal Castles, Lightspeed Champion, Friendly Fires, Does if Offend You, Yeah?, The Whip with more TBC. Keep checking www.forgottenvalley.com for more info!

One the Dance side, everyone has come together rather nicely with three partners having confirmed their lineups. Ninja Tune are one of the most respected labels in the business, hailed as “One of the most innovative independent record labels ever in the Independent on Sunday”, and their founders Coldcut are DJing at Forgotten Valley with support from Qemists, DJ Food and DK, J Mountain. And speaking of founders, Circus’ Yousef will be bringing his famed Liverpool party vibes to Cumbria along with his special guest Claude Von Stroke. Circus is one of the most respected and revered house sessions in the world, complete with winning the Radio 1 House Rules Award, so expect things to get a bit crazy. And whilst we’re on crazy, the weekend wouldn’t really be complete without the legendary Back2Basics crew popping down from Leeds to join Forgotten Valley. The club’s founded Dave Beer is bringing two of his fave players, Ivan Smagghe and Ralph Lawson, along to join in the fun. The Leeds institution has been running for years yet remains one of the best, eclectic and downright scintillating sessions in the UK. Look out for sets from Uber DJs and Tokyoblu, impromptu sets and secret parties too.

Plus don’t forget that the original and best theatrical hosts on the planet - Lost Vagueness - will be in attendance all weekend long, infusing Forgotten Valley with their uniquely eccentric glamour.

With a small capacity and being the first boutique festival of its kind for the entire region, Forgotten Valley is perfectly placed to be one of the most exciting events of 2008 in the UK. The emphasis is firmly on small is beautiful as Forgotten Valley eschews the impersonal feel of large scale events in favour of creating an intimate environment which will entertain at every turn.
