Most DJ Mix competitions have a prize of a set in small venue close to home or some DJ hardware or software. Well not this one. This one gives the winner the opportunity of a lifetime. Seamless Recordings are putting out their biggest tune ever in May 2010. The track titled ‘The Making of You’ by up and coming Hungarian producers Soneec, Lauer and Canard features vocals from NY legend Robert Owens. Between them they have produced a serious contender for a summer smash. Seamless have put together a package that includes the main room floor-filler by man-of-the-moment Stefano Noferini who is no stranger to creating massive cross over tracks.
Ibiza is a place where every DJ in the world wants to play, the Mecca of electronic music and unless you are an A list DJ it’s very hard to get a gig on the island. This is a one off opportunity for a DJ to play not only at an ultra cool beach party but alongside legends.
The competition is available to all and is being run in conjunction with Beatport, the largest DJ download store in the world. To enter the competition, which is open to all DJs, bedroom to stadium, simply incorporate one of the mixes of the track, The Making of You by Soneec, Lauer and Canard feat. Robert Owens, into a 30 mins Dj mix at (192bps mp3 quality) and deliver the mix, to the Seamless SoundCloud account http://soundcloud.com/Seamless-Live-The-Dream using the dropbox function. All entries must have purchased the track from Beatport and entries will be monitored to ensure compliance, those not purchased from the store will be deemed ineligible. All entries also need to ensure that the file name of the mix includes the entrants dj name and contestants should email graham@seamlessrecordings.com with your DJ mix file name, full DJ mix track listing and full contact details including name, email, address, contact phone number and date of birth
The competition runs from the 28thth May, when the track is available to buy from Beatport, for 12 weeks and the winner will be picked by a joint Seamless/Beatport judging panel. The mixes will be judged on creative track selection and mixing ability. The winner of the competition will be flown out to Ibiza to play at a beach party on the 8th September at the new and ultra cool Sands Beach Club and afterwards at renowned party Hotel Es Vive, (www.hotelesvive.com) where they will also be staying.
The winner will get to play at the event alongside the headline acts, none other than Koolwaters presents Boy George and Marc Vedo with his Live Sessions" and Robert Owens, aswell as 200$ worth of Beatport vouchers to download. Robert Owens will be performing the track at the event alongside Boy George live. The event is being promoted by The Shop, (www.theshop.com) one of the best promotion and event organisers on the island who organise the IMS Conference as well as running the promotion of one the biggest events on the island – Swedish House Mafia at Pacha. Added to that the winner gets to mix their own compilation from the Seamless catalogue which will be available exclusively on Beatport.

The Music……
The Original mixes come complete with and instrumental and a Radio edit and also includes a special (B.S.L.C Dub) for which they have produced with fellow friend and top Hungarian producer Belocca, which drops the piano break and uses a stripped down vocal and tribally beats and excellent groove for an massively rocking dance floor dub.
As always with a Seamless singles release, we have brought in some of the most inform producers of the moment, in the form of Stefano Noferini, Tucci & Sahara, Greg Stainer, Berny and URH & Rony Breaker.
The first remix comes from man of the moment Stefano Noferini, who in the last 2 years has risen sharply with numerous big tracks, such as his No.1 Billboard Hot Dance Chart track “Push n Pull” and also his tracks “Cool Summer” and “Burujava” both which went straight to number one in the download charts on Beatport. For his remix he has given this his typical twist. With a heavy kick and driving beats, this has big room written all over it. Building and building this mix keeps gaining momentum until the break drops and works before raising all hands in the air before dropping back in resulting in a great peak time mix.
The second remix comes from fellow Pacha Ibiza residents Tuccillo & Graham Sahara. Between them they have releases on many celebrated House music labels such as Freerange, Phonetic Recordings, Purple Music and Soundman on Wax to name just a few. Their mix takes this on a more classic Ibiza house vibe. With driving hats and grooving bass they leave out the piano break and create a smooth sexy mix deeper mix with plenty of energy for the dance floor.
For the third remix we have Seamless favourite and Dubai resident Greg Stainer, who has many tracks on on well known house labels such as Deeperfect, Loudbit and Open Bar. With tribally percussive modern beats this bounces and skips along to an excellent bassline. He works the vocal and the piano and the well into the groove and the result is excellent for the dance floor.
For the fourth remix we have another Seamless favourite, Berny, who originates from Padova, Italy. With people like Rulers Of The Deep, Tedd Patterson and Harley & Muscle supporters of his sounds and previous tracks he has created a very uplifting remix with great beats and an electric bassline.
For the final remixes we have URH & Rony Breakers more soulful mix. URH, more commonly known as Soneec, who has teamed up with friend Rony Breaker to make a smooth vocal version for more lovers of more soulful melodies and beautiful vocals. This also comes complete with a dub.
