Circo Loco, the world-renowned Ibiza party, will be bringing its trademark red wig, not to mention a killer line-up that includes Tania Vulcano, Andrew Grant, Dan Ghenacia, Cassy, Garagem and Gauthier DM, to the inaugural Hideout Festival. Taking place at Zrce Beach on Pag off the coast of Croatia from 1st to 3rd July 2011 and boasting one of the best line-ups out there, Hideout Festival is about to establish itself as the coolest dance party of the summer, giving Ibiza a run for its money.
The indisputable First Lady of Circo Loco and Queen of DC10 Ibiza, Tania Vulcano was there when it all began on those Monday mornings back in 1999 and continues to be a beacon for quality underground music. Tania is a global representative for the brand and continent-hops every weekend to meet the persistent demand for her music. Unsurprisingly, in many ways it is Tania's sound itself that acts as a showcase for what Circo Loco is all about.
An old school Circo Loco DJ from the early days, Andrew Grant is a former American marine that has maintained his relationship with the club and brand ever since being invited to play by Cirillo, his mentor, in 2001. This represented the start of a now 10 year association with the party, during which time Andrew assured his place as a front line combatant of the Circo Loco sound and party attitude.
One of the longest serving residents at DC10, Dan Ghenacia is still the major influence of underground electronica in France, thanks principally to his leadership of the celebrated, but now defunct, Freak n Chic label and booking operation. His acute understanding of how DC10 works, makes him a key asset to the Circo Loco parties and his swathing tech-house and abyss-deep grooves are effortless winners both on the Terrace and Inside.
Catherine Britton aka Cassy is widely regarded as the Queen of underground house and techno, if not that then certainly she's in line for the throne. With Caribbean roots, she grew up in England and then mainly Austria, where she developed a deep love for the arts and worked professionally as a vocalist and in theatre. Making her debut at DC10 in Ibiza in 2010, Cassy enthralled the Circo Loco masses as she weaved her customary mixed bag of sounds ranging from deep house to hard techno through classic acid house, strengthening her status of one of the Circo Loco New Era.
One of the few residents for Circo Loco at DC10 who can say they play practically every single week, Garagem is - as her name suggests - one of the deepest groovers that spins at the club. A deeply passionate spirit for pushing solid, underground house and garage, in its truest forms, Garagem has been resident at DC10 since 2008.Her mixed Brazilian and Romanian roots make her truly representative of the international movement that is Circo Loco.
Gauthier DM French DJ who became part of the Circo Loco and DC10 fold in 2010, impressing in his appearances, which included the Closing Party After and the 2011 New Year's Day celebrations. Brother of fellow Circo Loco resident, DJ W!LD, Gauthier is seen as one of the next generation DJ/producers to come out of France and is strongly associated with the prominent Robsoul Recordings, run by Chris Carrier since 2000 and recognised as one of the most respected underground house music labels around.
