Material Series boss Mihalis Safras readies to drop his piece de resistance. A 3 x 12inch pack of precious vinyl that not only celebrates the 5th Anniversary of the label but showcases the diverse sounds and styles of the Greek producer himself.
The first of the vinyls will feature a selection of new material from Mihalis. From the tribal roller "Aparatamas," to the jackin' horn-bathed funk of "d12." The smooth warm chords and diva vocal hooks of "Deepia" follow, together with the main-room mastery of "2012". The collection comes to a close with the deep, electronic throb of "Luci".
Greek DJ/producer Mihalis Safras has a long history in the electronic music scene of Greece, becoming one of his home country's most celebrated DJs. Over the course of the last decade he has tirelessly established himself as one of the Mediterranean's most promising and hard working up-and-comers; appearing on at least a dozen 12-inches last year alone. An impressive collection of work from Mihalis, supported by an equally impressive line-up of remixers on the second vinyl. The first selection of which from, Mauro Picotto, Jerome Sydenham, Coyu and Pherox, will be heading your way very soon..

Through remixes such as his reworking of Dubfire’s anthemic “Roadkill” Mihalis has developed a proud refined style that is progressive and functional and instantly led to widespread support from the likes of: Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos and Dave Clarke. Since his early studio outputs with Mark Broom, his elongated, aching yet versatile and percussive tech-house tracks have made their way onto labels like Soma, Great Stuff, Mikrowave, Trapez and Nic Fanciulli’s Saved with whom he has exercised room-filling soundscapes - determined and driving techno combined with the most moving of musical melodies.
Also for those of you who love to edit 'live', Vinyl #3 features 35 DE9 styled loops. These are only going to be available on the vinyl release so don’t miss them.
