With all the talk about Disco, and considering our absolute love of Disco, we thought it appropriate we spread some disco love.
Disco Circus is the sound of Disco past, present and future, a seamless mix of some of the hottest producers of today, combined with those who gave us back when disco began (about 30 years ago, hence this also being a celebration of 30 years of disco… 30 tracks on the CD, get it?).
It’s a concept from London based disco duo MiGHty mOUse, who have been making some serious waves of late, and who have also been picked up by Aeroplanes manager. Their remixes over the last year have been picking up heavy support (including BBC Radio 1 plays) from Pete Tong, Kissy Sell Out, Rob Da Bank, Aeroplane, Unabombers, Mike Pickering, Sister Bliss, Ashley Beedle, Cosmo, Trevor Jackson, Laurent Garnier, Mouse T, Nico De Ceglia, Prins Thomas, Disco Bloodbath, Horsemeat Disco and many more. They’ve had strong reviews and picked up single of the month in Mixmag for their remix of Sweetheart by My Toys Like Me, featured in the Killer Tunes section of DJ Magazine for their remix of City Reverbs ‘Time Side On’ and recently made the Time playlist for their remix of Bent’s classic ‘Always’.
Disco Circus (Volume 1) hosts a bunch of hidden gems and no less than 6 EXCLUSIVE tracks and features artists and remixers including Chic, Dinosaur, Was (Not Was), Bent, James Yuill, Franz Ferdinand, Beyond The Wizards Sleeve, Chaz Jenkel, New York City Peach Boys, Coati Mundi, Prins Thomas, Tensnake, Crazy P, Chateau Flight, Classixx, Todd Terje and of course MiGHty mOUse.
Volume 2 is scheduled for release in February 2010, with further volumes to follow. It’s released on Double CD and Digital Download,
