Friday July’s 2nd Sonido instalment kicks of a huge month for the Midlands-based clubnight. Huge because later on they are upping roots for a double-whammy of parlaying partying with an all day secret party in Ibiza followed by a boat party exploring the coves and glittering Azure waters of the White Isle. Nothing short of the ambition all at Sonido posses, this jaunt to the sun-kissed hedonism of what is still the world’s clubbing capital further represents what the club is all about.

In just a few short months the night has evolved into one of the toasts of the underground scene, abiding by their own template to book top guests from the underground scene and bring a new sound to the Midlands which has so far attracted people from far and wide. Ibiza might be a far away from Leicester, but July offers a fusion of Sonido’s intent both in the UK and on the continent.

But before indulging in all that famed island has to offer, the Sonido crew have got a special date at the start of the month with C?cile’s Alex Celler.

A Greek national by right, but since 2004 a Londoner by choice, Alex Celler is said to be a most promising of upcoming producer / DJs with an energetic and intense tech house sound, full of swing, tribal rhythms & beats.

His distinctive style and dedication to music has helped him establish his sound well across the scene which is why his productions have been supported & championed continuously by Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, and RPR Soundsystem through to Dennis Ferrer, DJ Sneak and Laurent Garnier. His impressive production skills have resulted in releases on some of the most original record labels in the business such as Cocoon, Tuning Spork, Area Remote, C?cille, Freak N Chic, Buzzin’ Fly & Cinematic.

Alex’s DJ style - similar to his own productions - is an impressive blend of rare old and modern tracks, ranging from house to techno, infused with tribal rhythms & pumping, deep basslines.

Sonido residents and stars in the making Dani S?lberg, Rich Fawcett and Jon Brooks provide support and moments of their own! And don’t forget July’s Ibiza action taking place across the 21st/22nd of the month.
