Flow Machines release new album 'Hi-Res' directly to fans on Saturday 25 February. The elusive electronic pop act has a reputation for focusing heavily on studio work, whilst by-passing the traditional music industry, and side-stepping publicity.

'Hi-Res' is Flow Machines' second album proper, and is available to download via www.flowmachines.com on a 'pay what you want' basis. The album was written and recorded during 2011 in Manchester and New York, and is formed of 10 experimental electronic pop tracks, inter-weaved with a variety of influences including acid house and dub step.

The analogue electronic backing tracks are complimented throughout by lush string arrangements and thoughtful, contemplative lyrics. Title track 'Hi-Res' is 6-minutes long, with a single note hook, and ending with a 2-minute analogue-synth jam to close the record.

Much-hyped recent single, 'Any Other Day', is included whilst 'Open Up' and 'Synchronise', feature contributions from Martin Carr, formerly of The Boo Radleys.

Flow Machines has previously collaborated with members of Cornershop, Super Furry Animals and the rapper Akira The Don, whilst the band also received glowing reviews in Time Out magazine and the NME in 2011. As with previous Flow Machines releases, bonus material and remixes are likely to follow the release of 'Hi-Res'.
