Dutch duo Mason make the kind of records that often defy being pigeon-holed and given a label. Their productions have been destroying dance floors and tearing up the World's charts since 2006, laying the foundations for more forward thinking music.
Mason are Iason Chronis and Coen Berrier. Using Iason's classical violin training and hi-tech savvy together with Coen, a man fixated with ancient synths and a mean vocalist, the Mason boys are now forging their own unique path. 2009 saw the launch of Mason's label, 'Animal Language' and regular parties in Amsterdam under the same name.
LoopTV caught up with the guys in Amsterdam to tell us about how they got started as producers, about their unique live shows and the tech setup involved. Plus we hear about the collaborate efforts behind their latest album 'They Are Among Us' with artists including (Run) DMC, Sam Sparro, Roisin Murphy, Aqualung, Kurtis Blow and Sway.
