Interview with DJ Nelski

Added: 12:36 | 21 Oct 2011

DJ_Nelski_Producer_Interview.jpg

Only a select few dance music artists rise from obscurity to international recognition in under a year, but this is exactly what Nelski has done!  Already having supported the likes of Deadmau5, Michael Woods and Eric Prydz at Cream in Ibiza, and with tours scheduled for Scotland, Greece, and Israel…this is is one busy producer!

2010 saw Nelski make an immediate impact with his debut release ‘Body Pop’ (Rising Music, 2010). This definitive track was heavily supported across all of Radio 1. Pete Tong took the support to the next level, making ‘Body Pop‘ the opening track of his ‘Wonderland‘ compilation, where it went on to be featured on a further 19 compilations over the 2010 summer period.

The follow up ‘Minimal Life’, an exclusive collaboration with Chris Lake, was another example of Nelski’s versatility and originality.  “As soon as you hear a track, you can tell if someone has got ‘it’. Nelski has got ‘it’ in abundance.  If I was a betting man, I would put my money on Nelski - he is about to blow!  Watch this space.”  Mark Knight, Toolroom Records

LoopTV talk to Nelski about his forthcoming tour and about the kit he uses in studio and in his unique live act.

Interview with DJ High Rankin

Added: 11:31 | 12 Sep 2011

Interview_With_High_Rankin_Of_Rankin_Audio.jpg LoopTV are proud to bring you this interview with tearup Dubstep producer, DJ High Rankin, as he embarks on the launch of his new sample label 'Rankin Audio'.
His aim is to offer nothing but the best and most usable samples and loops. Produced by some of Dubstep, DNB and Electro's key players, with a focus on usability and flexibility.  Rankin Audio pushes the fresh, innovative sound that is at the forefront of today's dance scene.

High Rankin music brims with character and personality that engulfs the listener as well as causing the obvious dance floor riot! When you get down to the nuts of bolts of what High Rankin is actually about, there's not only an inimitable personality behind everything that he does, but an unfaltering ethic and politic stemming from the most simple elements of his musical back and foreground.

Rankin Audio launches with two products, Female Dubstep Vocals, and Heavy Bass Oneshots.

Female Dubstep Vocals is for anyone looking to add a little vocal flare to their tracks, concentrating on single phrases and short, catchy lines, making it perfect for hooks and top lines - think Flux Pavilion - Hold Me Close/Got To Know.

Heavy Bass Oneshots enlists the help of Cliffhanga and is a masterclass of dirty, evil, one shot bass sounds that will drop perfectly into any track requiring some nasty synth work.

Enjoy!

Chuckie @ Blue Marlin and Pacha

Added: 10:41 | 23 Aug 2011

The genre-spawning Dirty Dutch label big cheese and former Hip Hop hit maker is never afraid of having a tear down on Twitter to his 100,000+ followers, fortunately for DJsounds Chuckie kept his cool when he spoke to us at Blue Marlin at Cala Jondal in Ibiza.

Known by passport control as Clyde Narain, Chuckie told us how little he has seen of the island in the three years he has been coming here, knowing only the walls of Pacha and his hotel room. He speaks of the power of the little known "Hot Cue Banks" in rekordbox and why he changed over to playing off SD card in the first place. Having moved from Guetta's Thursday night at Pacha to being a headline resident on Wednesdays with Erick at Subliminal seems to be proving a shrewd move.
