Good things come in pairs so they say and this exclusive interview is no exception, as LoopTV talk to Australian house music duo TV Rock! There must be very few career boxes for TV Rock left to tick. Double ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) award winners, the duo, comprised of GQ DJ of the Year Grant Smillie and Ivan Gough have been dominating the charts for the past 5 years.
Their debut single ‘Flaunt It’ was an ARIA chart history breaker and the duo have had 11 number #1 positions on the ARIA Club chart since for their originals productions and remix work. If that wasn’t enough, they also own and run Neon – a highly successful dance imprint which has already cracked a #1 on the international Beatport digital download site.
Listed by IDJ and Mixmag in 2008 as the ones to watch, their single ‘Been A Long Time’ was picked up by Axwell’s label ‘Axtone’, remixed by Laidback Luke and received major backing from Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Selection’. Following on the success of ‘The Others’ with The Dukes Of Windsor, and more recently ‘Happiness’, which they collaborated with Luke Chable.
In addition to TV Rock’s impressive production pedigree, they’ve remixed a who’s who of dance music, with the likes of Groove Armada, Sander Kleinenberg, Axwell, Armand Van Helden, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Paul Van Dyk, and many more.
We talk shop and find out what's under the hood in their studio, how they shape their sound, and what's coming up for the guys this year.

N-Trancehopes this figure will rise significantly, as more details of the endeavour is released to fans and fundraisers.
Lewis, aka DJ Kuta, is legendary dance act N-Trance’s official DJ, ensuring the sets of the ever-popular group remain as energetic as always.
